The Secret To Success In Network Marketing – Work

Alright, so the secret to success in network marketing is not just one secret. There are many steps to having a successful network marketing business. Today we are going to cover one of the most overlooked parts in creating that success.

“Work”, the second of the of the 7 keys to success in network marketing.

Yes I am using this four letter word, “work”. You have to be willing to work for your dreams and goals. Without work and effort, all you have is wishful thinking. Oh, and don’t confuse work with stuff that waists your time. You must dedicate your time to money producing activities. Otherwise all you have is a very expensive hobby.

What I see happening all too often is that people confuse work with time robbing activities. I know that at times it can be hard to tell the difference between the two. For example, let’s look at Facebook. This is a great platform to meet and find an endless number of people who are interested in what you have to offer.

On the flip side of that coin, this is also a great place to get sucked in to a ton of time robbing activities. You will find everything from games, pranks, groups talking about your favorite shows to who the best athlete is of all time. Before you know it, you have just wasted hours, while you could have been investing hours on building your business.

One of the best measurements on how you are spending your time is asking yourself one question before starting any task, and even during each task to make sure that you are staying on track is:

“Is what I am doing right now moving me and my business closer towards my goals and dreams?”

If the answer is “no”, then move on to something that will.

One of the best ways to make sure that you are moving in the right direction is to make sure that you create a daily “To-Do” list.

I know that this may not tickle your fancy, but it will keep you focused on what matters most in your daily activities that will have you reaching your goals.

(Did I just say “tickle your fancy”… too funny.)

Your “To-Do” list should have the top three items that you MUST have done that day before you turn in for the night. This is something that if you follow, will become second nature to you and you will come to find that if you try to cut corners you will be bothered by it.

What I do, is I have a white board next to me in my home office that I am constantly updating with not only what needs to be done but also the tasks behind each one. This keeps me focused on each task. Once that task is done, then it comes off the board.

Then at the end of the night, I review my white board and add new tasks for the next day, that way when I start my day, I already have a plan on what I need to do each day.

If a white board is not an option for you, then use a daily note pad to keep track of your tasks. Just make it a commitment to yourself that you will pick out at least three task to move your business forward that day. You will be amazed and how much more you actually accomplish just by implementing this one strategy.
