As amazing as you may feel from past achievements, they are just that the past and cannot compare to what you are truly capable of today. Don’t get me wrong, you should reflect back on your previous accomplishment because of how great it made you feel and tapping into that source of energy on a consistent basis is a great thing to do.
We can recall how glorious it felt to take on that challenge, the difficulties that we overcame during the journey and the pride that we felt from the victory lap saying to ourselves, “I did that.” It’s all great and your pride should always be felt, yet your very next words and thoughts should be, “ok, what will I do next?”
Instead of amusing yourself with fond memories of what you’ve done before, and reliving your glory days, you can choose to make it your life long quest to always keep moving forward and growing into becoming even better on a daily basis and creating even greater works that will make each fond memory not as big in comparison.
From time to time I run into people that I went to High School with and it’s never too long before the conversation turns to, “Remember when…” Most of the time, I can’t recall what they are referring to because I have moved on.
I have continued to grow in life as a person, a father, a friend and as a success story whose chapters are still being written. I sometimes wonder if they desire to be greater, or if they have just settled in life and only if they focused on the road ahead of them instead of the past tarnished treasures, where they may be today.
I find that in keeping busy and being productive rather than being mystified by past success, the momentum of each success fuels me for my next opportunity. Besides a feeling of pride, each of your accomplishments can offer something else of value: confidence and determination to do something new and to stretch to reach past new boundaries!
Remember to use this added fuel to push you to obtain new more greater victories and with each victory build off of that excitement continuing to grow with each accomplishment. If you continue this on a daily basis, just imagine what you will accomplish in one short year.
“Motivation doesn’t last but one day and neither does bathing that is why I recommend doing it daily.” –Zig Ziglar

This is so true. That's how people believe in themselves and look forward to something new every day. That's why people that really want a better life usually wind up getting it. Anybody can have confidence and reach new boundaries. It might take just one achievement to believe that anything can be done. The internet really helps.
