Doesn’t it feel like you’re shipwrecked on a deserted island at times?
Why is it that each of us at lack the personal empowerment needed to succeed in life that holds each of us back in life?
Is it a lack of desire, commitment and dedication?
Maybe it’s the fact that people around us hold each of us back from achieve our goals to be the very best.
Maybe it’s that we are not “worthy” of being more.
Honestly it comes down to one thing. It’s the simple fact that each of us, in some way, believes that we need to be granted permission or anointed worthy from someone in order to be successful.
That’s a crock.
Success does not come from someone else empowering you, blessing you or giving you permission. It comes from YOU, empowering YOURSELF. If you sit a wait for someone to show up at your house, with a certificate of “Worthiness of Personal Empowerment”, you may as well be waiting for the next Elvis sighting.
Personal empowerment in life doesn’t come from some seminar, reading a self help book, or watching some kind of inspirational movie. It comes from YOU, that why its “Personal”.
Empowerment to reach new levels of success in your life comes from inside you. Sure, personal development plays a major role and thought the aid of seminars, books and coaching you will find the tools needed.
However the overall answers that you need to succeed, you already have. The problem is this. WE create clutter in our lives that hold us back, fearful of being more powerful, incredible and dynamic beings that would inspire a movement in others.
At some point in our lives we make the connection to some past experience that we are not worthy of financial abundance, healthy and safe relationships, a successful home based business or even a better job.
Don’t believe me?
Ok, let me share with you a little bit about myself. I struggled to maintain healthy relationships with two different women in my life at different times. I realized that I kept looking to them to consistently fill an empty void in my life.
In each relationship I gave up my power to them. Not in the physical sense but by allowing certain things to take place that I knew I was never alright with. I sat there on shipwrecked island, waiting for things to change thinking and hoping that “one day” my ship will sail in and everything will be perfect.
I wasted years of my life waiting. Finally I was fed up, sick and tired of where my life was. I decided to start swimming out to my ship and along the way made a few stops to improve myself, through personal development seminars, books, coaches and anything that I could get my hands on that would continue to give me the tools that I needed to achieve the personal empowerment that I desired.
Now I am a proud father of four, husband to the most incredible women in the world and live my life with passion doing what I enjoy most. I turned my “one day” in to a reality that I live everyday.
At some point you have to get sick and tired, so fed up that you will do anything in order to take control of your life and off shipwrecked island.
Your ship is sitting on the horizon just waiting for you to swim out to it. The question that remains is this. “Are YOU ready to swim to it and change your life forever or are you going to remain shipwrecked for the rest of your life?”
Your “one day” is here, all you have to do is grab hold of it.

Awesome stuff Ashley.
Love personal development. so I'll have to come back again and agian to this blog!
I look forward to you continued visits and commentary.
IYou summed it up here:
"I sat there on shipwrecked island, waiting for things to change thinking and hoping that “one day” my ship will sail in and everything will be perfect."
I remember this feeling well.
It is a dangerous trap and hard to get out of.
But not impossible if you are awilling to take control of your life and willing to stop being a victim
Very well said. How often don't we each have that choice to do something or sit their feeling as though we are the "victim" who is entitled to something.
We need to know how to empower ourselves to achieve what we want in life. But some of might have low self-esteem. We need help in life coaching to gain our self confidence in anything we do. We do have control to ourselves because if we don;t have, we might live in misery.
