Now that you have figured out what you need to do to be employable in order build a successful network marketing business and understand the level of commitment that it takes, I just have one question.
Did burn your ship?
Remember there in no “just checking things out”.
Either you’re committed at hunting down your dream or goals or you’re not.
Either your all in, or not. There is no trying.
Try sitting down without actually touching the chair and without standing up. Sure you may be able to sustain that pose for a little while but it’s uncomfortable AND eventually you will either have to stand or sit.
Eventually you will have to get all in or out, get 100% committed or get out of the industry and find something that you can be 100% committed to.
I’m not trying to be harsh, it just a reality that you must embrace, and the sooner you accept it, the better off You will be.
Let’s move on to the third piece. You must be willing to work on your skills as a professional network marketer in order to build and maintain a successful network marketing business – period – there is no other way around this.
A good friend of mine Bob Burg – bestselling author of “The Go-Giver” – puts it like this.
“Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.”
Think on that for a moment and see it through your prospects eyes. Do you think that they would rather work with someone that will bring a great deal of value in to their life? Someone who supports them, coaches them, someone who is able to walk them through the sticking points in their business no matter the challenge, or someone that is as lost as lost can be, and who is not taking the steps that they need in order to grow?
What would you prefer?
The late and great Jim Rohn put it this way. “In order to earn more, you must first become more.”
I remember when I still worked in the corporate world (UGH). I had found that I was stagnant in my career. I was great at what I did however, I was no longer feeling the burning desire that I once did. I realized that I needed a bigger challenge and my next logical step was to move in to a VP role with the company.
I remember my first interview for the position. I FAILED miserably! Competing against two other colleagues of mine who by performance standards alone, I was much more qualified. I also felt that I was a better overall leader and trainer.
After I picked up my pride off of the floor – what was left of it – I went home that evening and took a long hard look at myself and asked one question.
“What can I start doing right now in order to make sure that I become the next VP?”
I started to form a list of areas that I needed to improve on and change. I started vigorously attacking each item on my list focusing all my efforts on improving my leadership skills, training skills, people skills and developed a hunger to add greater value to those around me. The hunger and burning desire that I thought had left came back and just a short three months later I was able to interview for another VP position and received my promotion.
Looking back on things now I realize that I was not as ready as I thought I was the first time around and the best thing that happened to me was being turned down so I could work on developing my skills as a professional.
Ask yourself this question. “What can I start doing today to bring more value and growth to those around me in my business?”
I think you will be very surprised and what your mind starts to show you. Start to make your list of areas that you are determined at improving. Figure out what you need to do or who you need to call to make it happen.
Then take some kind of action TODAY.
I would also recommend going out and grabbing a copy of Bob Burgs’ book “The Go-Giver”. This book is brilliant and a must read for anyone who has the deepest desire at building a successful network marketing business, deals with people at work or simply has any kind of interaction with another human being on a daily basis.
Simply put, this is a great place for you to start or continue to work on your skills as a professional network marketer.

I like what you said here:
“What can I start doing today to bring more value and growth to those around me in my business?”
No matter what business you are in this is outstanding advice. It is all of the little things that you can do every day that may not seem like a lot on their own, but compounded can exert a lot of influence.
For example I am in the water damage restoration business, and today I was on the phone with a client that I couldn't help. But I still took a moment to introduce him with a company that actually could help him out. At the end of the conversation the man thanked me for the suggestions even though I knew I wasn't getting the business. I told him I believe that it all will come back to me.
It felt good.
I will be bookmarking your post as I enjoyed it.
