Is it really about “mind over matter”, or is it just about the kind of things we THINK really matter that affects our mind?
On your journey down the yellow brick road in building a successful network marketing business, we all come across challenges and obstacles, a flock of flying monkeys and then some.
But are the obstacles that we see in our way really there or are they nothing more than a magical illusion played on each of us by our mind?
It’s true that in building your business you will come across challenges. It’s also true that some people will give up, run away with their tails between their legs screaming out – “this business does not work”, or “this company that I am with is no good”.
For them, yes that is correct.
However, their lack of success in network marketing is not from any of their claims.
It simply from lack of proper mindset.
They made a decision that this was not going to work and so they failed. They decided that the company was the wrong company and so it was.
Mindset.
You need to look at developing the proper mindset to succeed in this business, or any business for that matter. Personal development and proper mindset is the one thing that – regardless of industry – is consistently needed in order to be successful.
It’s like ordering a salad at your favorite restaurant; it comes out nice, crisp, fresh and delicious.
But if the salad has been left out for a while, it turns brown, mushy and it would taste awful.
Point being if WE are not consistently looking to grow and improve our mindset, our shelf life expires and we rot.
Your mind needs to be able to fight off the onslaught of questions, critics and nay-sayers. You need to develop a mindset that has you holding your head up in pride for being a professional network marketer.
You absolutely must have an unwavering belief in this business, this industry and what it stands for that when someone asks you, “So, what do you do?”
Instead of cowering in fear you want to be able to proudly say “I am a professional network marketer”.
***word of advice, develop a USP that has them wanting more information. More on that later. ***
You positively must have an unfaltering belief in your company, the products or services that they offer.
Last but not least, you must also have an incredible belief in YOU, who you are and what you stand for.
Remember this, “belief and doubt cannot occupy the same space inside of you.
Ask yourself these questions to help you create the mindset that you need.
“As a profession in network marketing, do people make money?”
“Do people in network marketing make the kind of money that I want to make?”
“With my network marketing company, do people make money?”
“Do people in my company make the kind of money that I want to make from network marketing?”
“Do customers receive a benefit from the products or services that my company offers?”
There can NOT be any “maybes”, “kind of”, or anything of the kind when answering these questions.
It’s either YES or NO.
If you answer NO to any of them, then figure out what you need to do to get it to a YES otherwise find something else to do. You have to be 100% completely convinced in what you do, in this industry, in your company and in YOU.
Did you notice that I did not have you ask any questions about yourself? That’s because I truly believe that proper mindset is something that you can develop over time. You can, and should consistently be working on you. However, you have to be certain about the other questions.
