Successful network marketing starts with personal growth to drive a person to success or failure. Let’s face it, it does not matter where you are along your journey as a network marketer, we all face the same challenges. We all go through what I call the “13 moments of truth” at some point.
What is most interesting is that in each moment of truth, and how you decide to deal with it, will define what your career in this industry will look like.
Moment Of Truth – 1
“Salvation”
Think back to how you started off in this industry.
Remember your first ever opportunity meeting that you went to?
Remember the first few emails that you opened up that were written in such a way that you felt as though you would instantly find and create the success that you’ve always wanted?
Maybe it was some online video that you saw that promised that their company was the absolute best. That their product or service was the best.
Now let’s back up even a few more steps. Do you remember why you started to look for a home based business in the first place?
Maybe your like a friend of mine Tom who was looking to start a business from home because he was expecting a child and had no idea how he was going to afford one.
It could be that you were a recent victim to the hardship that our economy finds itself in and along the way you lost, not only your job but your retirement, and savings as well.
You could just be a real spirited person who decided that enough was enough and wanted to control your own destiny. You wanted a sense of freedom.
However you ended up in this industry you felt a sense of salvation once you got started, or that salvation was right around the corner.
What tends to happen all too often is that for some reason, someone has told you that the salvation that you are seeking is as easy as signing up and that in no time flat, your future will be whatever you want it to be.
Salvation at last… or not.
What you have to come to terms with is that in order for you to find the success in network marketing that you desire, you have to stay consistent in your daily actions. Unfortunately, regardless of what people may tell you, this business requires effort and work on your part.
The salvation that you are looking for doesn’t just arrive at the door in a card board box gushing with money. As much as some people wish that it did.
So ask yourself these questions.
- Have “my” expectations of this industry, company and upline support been met?
- Am “I” contributing to grow my business everyday or am “I” a wishful thinker, hoping for success?
- What side of salvation am “I” on, excuse maker or action taker? (you can only be one)
Now let me give you Three steps that you should take everyday in order to move your business forward to create the success that you deserve and to bring you closer to the salvation that you desire.
Three Steps For Success
- Set a specific time aside each day to build your business.
- Focus your time on the activities that will generate new contacts and leads.
- Follow up – This is critical, the old saying holds true. “The fortune is in the follow up.” – People want to do business with people they know like and trust.
